engine bay cleaning + carbon dampers :)

going to give my bay a good clean tomorrow if it doesnt sling it down. heres a few pics

If it does sling it down, just degrease the engine bay and leave the bonnet open :thumbs:

apart from the filter is there any other bits ill need to cover before i unleash the hose on it ??

 

Don't hose it ..!!!

 

Find a proper steam cleaning garage and have them do it for you cost about £20.

 

I was only joking about it not starting..!! Its a very clean engine now... :blush:

You'll need to cover all electrical connections with cling-film otherwise you risk the chance of something shorting out. I would personally disconnect the battery too to be on the safe side. But seriously, you'll need hot water, i.e. steam to get the best out of it.
