gumpy000 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Hi all you 'Z' owners. What a fantastic Car. Always wanted one and so glad Iv got one. I bought mine a couple of months ago and love it, and so joined this forum and also love it So my question is... when unlocking my Z one click of the key button unlocks the drivers door but then I have t click again to unlock the passenger door. is this standard? Can I change it to all doors on one click? Silly question I know but its bugging me! Many thanks. Much Love! Quote
WhackyWill Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) Welcome to the Forum Yes you can open both door with one click of the remote Point the remote at the Zed and hold down both buttons for about 5 secs. Edited January 4, 2014 by WhackyWill Quote
ilogikal1 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Yes it's standard. You can change it if you've got a later car, there's plenty of information on it around here if you use the search. Quote
gumpy000 Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 My Z is a 04/54. I have tried the button hold but didn't seem to work? Quote
ilogikal1 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 You can't change it on the earlier cars. Quote
gumpy000 Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Damn! ok thank for the help tho! Anyone in the Norfolk Area. I live in Norwich area! Quote
WhackyWill Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 You can't change it on the earlier cars. Mine is a DE and you can change the locking. Not sure about JDMs. It took me a few goes with holding down the two buttons before it re-set the locking procedure. Hold for 10 secs then. Some "stupid MOT tester failed the car "because he was unable to open the passengers door"... Quote

ilogikal1 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 It seems to depend entirely on what day your car came off the line, mine is a UK 55 plate and it doesn't work on mine but it did on someone else with a similar age car, although I don't recall if theirs was an import or not. Quote

I'm glad I could change mine to single push opening as its a pain when somebody wants to get in the passengers side and its still locked... Quote
ATTAK Z Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 it's a good thing IMO ... came from the USA where car jacking is more prevalent Quote
ilogikal1 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I quite like making other people stand in the cold and I also blame it on them for it not unlocking in the first place. It's the simple things. 1 Quote
