Hel brake lines

Hi guys, when I bought my zed I was given a set of hel brake lines. The old owner wasn't sure if they are the correct ones though.

 

They have a hel brochure but no product code or barcode. Does anyone have any measurements?

HEL, not the best on the market for a Zed...problems with them fitting correctly.

Oh really? Surprised as they are the cheapest. If they do fit, better than the standard ones?

Apparently there's been some issues with getting the banjo connectors to seal properly on the calipers. Not everyone has that problem though. Newer hel lines have a modified connector for the caliper that gets rid of that issue. Other lines are available

Don't fancy them failing. Do they just weep if they are not working properly? Or would a garage instantly say...errhh....no, not happening. And through them in the bin.

Only ever had the problem with 1 set (I have fitted a few for owners) It's more the casting on the back of the Brembo that does not seal - you will know as soon as you try to bleed them if they have a poor seal.

HEL lines are fine, better than stock and I'd trust them no end more than any brand I don't know.

 

I don't know the names of the various fittings but if you give CS a pm with the measurements and what ends you have he will probably have a set in stock that he could check against for you

Good idea! Though I don't 'want to bother him when I'm not spending any money, though I am sure i will be soon.

Very good lines, you won't have a problem if they are installed properly. Maybe email HEL themselves? The reason they have no product code etc, is because they are all hand made to order.

Nothing wrong with hel lines. Just clean up the sealing face on the back of the caliper and make sure they are routed and secured correctly.
