WhackyWill Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 My mate has just done this course, he said its just brilliant. Will be a great help to rear wheel Zed drivers in Winter. I'm thinking of giving it a go, http://www.racemanagers.com/ice-training/ Quote
Flex Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 It looks very cool, although I still think the best option if it's that extreme is to stay in! Doesnt ,matter how good a driver you are depends on everyone else and lots of other factors too. Quote
Briggsybriggs1 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I would love to go there can't see price off it on the site? Wife wants a holiday could I trick her into going there haha Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
allaboutthepasty Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Always wanted to do this! Only trouble is I could see the inner Jeremy Clarkson emerging in a snowy Asda carpark with that kind of knowledge. Quote
Paddy78 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I looked into this recently and if it's roughly the same price it'll be around £4K per person minimum. Nice idea, but for the price I'd rather have my own track car... Quote

GMballistic Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 A drifting/skid control course would be a better idea imo as we usually see more wet weather here than snowy/icy weather. http://www.silverstone.co.uk/experiences/driving-days/skid-control1/ http://www.skidcontrol.co.uk/ Quote

No ice or snow training involved though ... Quote

WhackyWill Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 A write up today on MSN.com The world’s most desirable sports cars and a wide open race track made of ice – for many petrolheads it’s heaven and then some. January to March every year is ice-driving season and just as the famous Ice Hotel opens its doors for the winter months in the Swedish Arctic village of Jukkasjärvi, so several of the region’s frozen lakes get transformed into motorsport venues for a few weeks of high-octane fun. Several specialist British travel firms operate trips to the area and places are filling up fast. Quote
