RafsZed Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Hey guys, what are your thoughts on a new shape Murano 3.5L, a little different and as rare as the Zed, cool or uncool. Quote
RafsZed Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 New shape meaning 2009 onwards. Quote
Ekona Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 You've really got to love the looks to buy one. Slow, thirsty, not exactly exciting... I could think of better choices in that category, like the S-Max. They've discontinued it for a reason. Quote
RafsZed Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 Well they also discontinued the 350Z, I like it as it's rare. Quote
KyleR Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 The 350z was updated to the 370z, not discontinued, it's a natural progression Quote
RafsZed Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 Ah in that case, yes the Murano has been discontinued but my sources tell me that Nissan will be launching an all new version within two years. Quote
Bems Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Can't see a market for a new one. The x-trail has got a proper revemp to aim at the 30 something's with kids etc effectively making a Murano pointless! Quote
R35LEE Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Stay away from the CVT Autos. I'm not a fan of these things at all and IMHO I would go for a Pathfinder over this Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk Quote
RafsZed Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 I drove the 1.5 diesel quaskai, that's not bad for what it is. Quote

Not according to this http://www.worldcarfans.com/113121967738/2015-nissan-murano-spied-showing-new-details And the s max is a people carrier how's that the same category as a murano? 2 Quote
Digsy Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I suspect the Murano was discontinued in the UK because as a full sized SUV it would be competing in the same market as their Infiniti products which were introduced around the same time. As for being slow and thirsty, I guess it depends what you are comparing it with. Everyone I take out in mine comments on how fast it is for a big 4x4 but that could just be the way I drive. There was nothing faster or more exciting that I could pick up for the same price as a 8/9 year old Murano that didn't have the potential to be a huge money pit. All IMHO of course. Quote
