Grundy Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 Also, where are you lot getting them from? I actually want one... We can be the four V3 amigos. All the more reason I'm not telling you - You said you didn't like me being nice Quote
Grundy Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Hello new bumper Fits like an absolute dream! All mounting holes lined up, everywhere just fits as it should! minimal sanding needed on the outside, just to follow the arch line, it really is minimal, only someone with OCD would notice. Just need to try and get it booked into a bodyshop this week to get it sprayed and have my arches sorted all ready for Japfest. You can see from this image - Where the arch meets the bumper next to the light, just needs to follow the line a little better. 2 Quote
glrnet Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 That looks pretty good for a first fit. Going to look really Quote
Grundy Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 That looks pretty good for a first fit. Going to look really Really chuffed, as I was dreading a massive bill from the Bodyshop on the 'extra work' to make it fit. Quote
ZEUS Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Just been catching up on your build Grundy. You have been a busy boy the last few months! Looking very nice though and that bumper will look great when it's painted 1 Quote
HoundDog Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 That looks a great bumper. Can't wait to see it installed and painted 1 Quote
Grundy Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Shouldn't be too long hopefully, going to try and find somewhere this week to do it. Quote
Grundy Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Am I correct in saying that my correct colour code is A17? Is this what I say to the bodyshop? Quote
AliveBoy Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Am I correct in saying that my correct colour code is A17? Is this what I say to the bodyshop? It's WV2, and if that doesn't match your car, it will match mine 2 Quote
glrnet Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Am I correct in saying that my correct colour code is A17? Is this what I say to the bodyshop? Sunset orange is A17, however it's down to the bodyshop to ascertain the correct paint code by checking the code on the VIN plate. 1 Quote
Grundy Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Got my first quote today - Was a little more than expecting, the VAT pushes it a bit too far. They also couldn't guarantee it for Japfest, said more than likely but couldn't promise. Waiting on a friend to get back to me of another shop that he knows. Got a couple places lined up, but it's a process I don't want done shoddy. Quote
