370Ad Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) 60mph in 6th on the motorway....you guys must have a lot of patience! I try to be sensible but usually only lasts a junction or 2! O and if you want MPG out of your Z get an UpRev I now get a consistent 2 mpg more since I have had it done...will pay for itself! That's what I told the Mrs anyway..... EDIT - I was just sad enough to work it out and I have saved £170 in a year on petrol since the UpRev. This is using the in car average calculator and comparing 24 to 26mpg over 9000k a year. So in 2 and a half years it will actually pay for itself Edited November 15, 2013 by 350Ad 1 Quote
SamN Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I average 18-19mpg. 250-260 miles out of a tank! Generally do short journeys though and have a relatively heavy foot! Quote

SamN Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Does uprev help much with fuel economy? Or will it just provoke my right foot more? Quote

JetSet Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 If your doing more then 20 mpg then your not driving it properly. Rubbish , I don't understand why people get this notion that pushing it up to 5k in every gear is in any way driving a car properly. Driving a car properly is more about keeping safe and avoiding wearing everything out in record time. In any case , if you look at peoples pics of their MPG/Speed you'll see that people with low MPG also have very low average speed meaning they're stuck in traffic most of the time, not hammering the life out of it..WackWill's picture is a perfect example of this. GMballistic Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Currently averaging around 18mpg with an average speed of around 12-18mph. That's back & forth to work with busy traffic in suburban areas. Get more though obviously on motorway journeys. Not bothered about fuel economy in the slightest though tbh. Quote
