daryloffset Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Hi all, I am looking into purchasing a 350z having come from the VW Audi scene where we run very low cars What coilovers would you suggest for a hard slam? Any info appreciated. I've been looking at the HSD and BC Racing options. Cheers! Quote
Pete87 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) Hsd's were my choice you will have problems slamming the zed as the y pipe hit everything, you can do it but just be prepared to keep replacing y pipes I've been through three in 8000 miles. But the hsd's are really good coilovers. Edited October 30, 2013 by Pete87 1 Quote

docwra Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Pretty much any coilover will drop to the point where you are layin frame, Id also recommend the HSDs as well 1 Quote

daryloffset Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 Great cheers guys thanks for your help! I'm looking into 12x18 rears with a negative offset - how much can you get away with width wise until arch flaring comes into consideration? Quote
Pete87 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Haha if your going to try 12" rears arches are def going to need rolling, Im running 10.5" rears with 20mm spacers but not low enough for them to hit. 12's will be a big squeeze but will look mental. I got arch enimies to roll mine think it was £90. Quote
daryloffset Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 18x12 et. +5! Looks great - any natural camber when lowering these? Quote
StevoD Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 18x12 et. +5! Looks great - any natural camber when lowering these? Not mine im afraid should have said a user on here called Niclad7 i think Quote

docwra Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 That was Nicad7 and they are GTR-D's The Zed has a tendency to add camber as its lowered, camber arms arent cheap either www.rimtuck.com is where you need to get yourself to. Quote

docwra Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Willtheyfit doesnt have camber included and doesnt take into account individual wheel designs/disk types (which is pretty impossible anyway TBF). Rimtuck is actual setups on actual cars, its probably a little more confidence inspiring if youre about to bang out 34K on some new rims Quote
