Wipers lifting off the screen at high speed?

just a quick one.

After a long drive last week and a brief 150mph stint my wipers lifted off the screen and just smeared water over the screen, meaning i needed to slow down to 80 to clear my screen during rainy patches. Anything over 100 and their just useless. Is this a common issue or has the dealer that sold me the car put some cheap blades on there?

Never had it on mine, only went up to 135mph though before aero, gearing and heat killed the fun. Do you have normal, spoiler or aero blades on there?

perfectly legal 150 dont worry. they just look like the normal blades you find on most cars. I dont do thoes speeds in the UK so i was unsure if it was just cheap blades. Might pick up some aero ones next time as it really cut into my journey time.

Rain-ex!!

You don't need wipers. In fact wipers are old hat to be honest.

i usually give the glass a coat of Gteqnic g4 which does basically the same thing but havnt got round to topping it up.

150MPH in the rain Fair play

150 was on a moist bit of road, still in the air though and the screen was a bit damp still. Cant half cover some ground at that speed and the car didnt even care. No different that going 70.

I find they all lift tbh, spoiler'd or not, at anything like 80+ you just have to live with it. When I wash my windows I tend to only do it below 30 orso to get a decent wipe, this is using proper PIAA aero blades.

We are an authorised PIAA dealer, their silicon spoilered wiper should sort your issues I use them and they have been fully tested on a resent trip to the Ring :)

PIAA wipers are great
