Can brake disc be fitted without the stud/bolt ?

Hi

 

Just received some brake discs for my zed today and upon looking at it, it doesn't have that hole for the stud/bolt to go on and mount the disc . Is this normal or non compatible ?

 

- Image 1 is the one I have bought (5 holes)

-image to is the one that's meant to be on car (5 holes + 1)

That should be fine. The wheel nuts will hold it all together anyway. Ive had no end of cars where people have snapped the bolt off and they have been fine.

Doesn't really make much difference. I would check they are the correct size discs for the car as its pretty odd they haven't come with them

 

Could be JDM brake disc instead of Brembo.

 

JDM-

front 296mmx24mm

rear 293mmx16mm

As others have said, it will be fine without them. I removed them when I fitted spacers and have not had any issues.

You can fit them but why isnt the hole there if they are correct for the car.

Too many people put up with incorrect parts when they should complain.

 

If they came from nissan like that you`d take them back......think about it mate.

Not all car manufactures use the stud bolts, they're pretty pointless really as they're only to prevent you placing the rear wheels on the front, which is easily preventable by actually looking at the tyre. Most people also remove them because they don't fit with after market rims.

 

If the disks are the right sizes mentioned a few posts ago then they are fine.

The extra stud is just a wheel stop to stop you putting the rear wheels on the front. it does nothing apart from that

As Peteman says its to stop tyrefitters from fitting the wheels the wrong way round as the rears are a half inch wider than the fronts on the GT.

Bin the stud bolt. It's just extra weight in the worst possible place.

Haha. I could do with some cheese cake. Still having no luck at the moment. My breaker bar is too long to fit in. It's not budging left or right 😅

Mine wasn't actually a breaker bar, I just call it that, it's basically a pipe, but it fits at a good angle onto the end of my small 1/4" ratchet perfectly.
