downhuman Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Got out of my zed this morning to notice (what I thought) was a scratch. Apparently it is a crack in the A Pillar - anyone else had this?! Presume it is some kind of plastic cladding too, rather than anything structural? Pics to follow Rob Quote

14N Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Not had this, but they are made of plastic and removable. Remove the B pillar and there's a screw under it. There are also 8 'hidden' screws under the door rubber/seal. Quote

Sized Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Got the exact same crack in my a-pillar mate. Been there since I got the car and never really bothered me too much as it's not that noticable on my car. As people say it's easy enough to replace the placcy molding if you want to. Quote

Going to get a quote from a bodyshop for repair too - want my bumper sprayed to tidy up the stone chips anyway.... Quote

rtbiscuit Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 check ebay for good idea on price but if it was me i'd remove the pillar.open up the crack making a v shape channel, reinforce behind it with some glassfibre, then fill and sand the channel, and repaint. Quote
