fairladyz2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hi, I'm not sure if my fairlady zeds got something wrong.. But feels like in gear one, the acceleration seems to lack that kick? Anyone else experienced this ? Any advice much appreciated Quote
Dblock Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 It's a pretty heavy car so is slow off the mark. The 350 is pretty slow. Are you comparing this to lack of kick to another 350? Quote
ddcboyle Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) Keep it in first gear at 4000 revs, then plant your foot down. if theres no kickback... well.. there should be Edit: if your just putting foot down in first, they do seem slow to the driver as theres no turbo kick and power seems to start at higher revs Edited August 1, 2013 by ddcboyle Quote
fairladyz2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 Thanks for the opinions/advice. Anyone got any ideas to increase horse power for a non mechanic driver? Thanks Quote
ATTAK Z Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Also the output is electronically limited to a percentage (the mech guys will tell you the details) in gear 1, 2 and 3 (I think) Quote

brillomaster Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 isnt this the throttle mapping being particularly retarded in the first 3 gears? mine takes a little while to respond when pulling away in first gear, thinking of a d1 throttle controller might be the answer. Quote

Thats my next mod. It doesnt make car add any bhp etc, but it supposedly makes the car a bit more jumpy. As if there was no inbetween for the accelerator pedal, just pure footdown power. Edit: does your car have any mods? Things like cheap intakes etc can slow the car. And where are you located? Edited August 1, 2013 by ddcboyle Quote
ianphampton Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Get your car UpRev remapped (Abbey do a sterling job of this) and it removes the limits in the lower gears Quote
fairladyz2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 Anyone know who could do a remap in London area ? Cheers ! Quote
ddcboyle Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I think theres only 3 companys that can do it. Costs around 400 I believe. I havent had any mods youve read here, but maybe look at throttle controller first if you dont have 400pound to spare. Remember to take esp off, or get some1 to drive ur car and sit as passenger then you will feel the power Quote
JetSet Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Anyone know who could do a remap in London area ? Cheers ! Abbey Motorsport are in Surrey I think, as already stated only 3 companies in The U.K can do the uprev. Pete Quote
