Tradelink Cars - anyone any experience dealing with them?

Recieved a call today from a friendly enough chap called Greg on behalf of tradelink cars in London.

He had seen my Zed for sale and made me an offer with the intention of obviously buying it for stock.

Now, I'm massively paranoid about scammers etc, especially people offering money for a car they haven't seen, he offered me a deposit via bank transfer or PayPal of £200 with the intention of lifting the car later this week (fly over, with cash and drive away)

Anyone any previous dealings with these guys? Feel free to pm if you like as opposed to posting below

That's good, thanks for the speedy responses guys. At first I thought it was one of those ad companies looking to advertise my car lol.

Well hopefully everything works out and the 350 will be heading for the mainland.

So many dreamers and tyre kickers locally then constant PayPal scammers it's depressing!!!! So that's maybe why I'm a touch paranoid lol

I had the same when I advertised the Ducati for sale. Constant emails about advertising it or buying it which were clearly scams.

I take it you've had a good bit of interest locally and people coming to look, maybe drive then eff off?

I've had 2 sale agreed locally then it's fallen through, I've had 2 more dreamers who were just out to test drive, and ragin when they didn't even get behind the wheel. 1 guy wanting to part x a rx8..... No thanks!

And about 10 emailers who arrange to view and don't turn up.

Don't get me wrong I'm in absolutely no rush to sell the car, I had it out on Saturday and absolutely loved it, I just can't abide time wasters.

And in fairness, I've looked at nearly all the ones for sale locally prior to buying mine and a lot of them aren't exactly pristine examples so I know it's worth the money I have it up for.

With regards the price markup, it'll be down to what we agree in the end but in fairness if this company are willing to put the hours in to source good quality cars then I'm all for it, local guy does the same thing and you know although he's dearer your buying quality cars.

What's not on is something like a certain yellow s15 silvia with carbon bonnet what was on PH for £9995, I was bought from N. Ireland for £3500 and had been put on it's side and roof because I know the guy that owned it lol

Cheers it's honestly a great car. Wheels could do with a repaint but that's about it.

I just don't drive it bar the odd weekend since I've such a long commute now

I'm not a long enough member, I think it's 6months. For NI it's priced about right, for the mainland market it's maybe good value but the. Flights etc make it more expensive.

I have it everywhere I can think of, and every car I've ever sold has been on piston heads but even it's attracting tyre kickers!!

Well to update :

Seb from TLC flew in last night and took my baby to England. On the site already.

Excellent lads to deal with, no @*!#, in out paid what I wanted and left. Got a good yarn with Seb on the way from the airport.

As I said earlier, these guys don't mess about, they gave me what I wanted for the car, and were a pleasure to deal with, and if they make a few quid, all power to them!
