Interior trim marks - restore/replace/cover up options.

My 2004 GT has a less than perfect centre console, from the triple gauge surround, sat nav lid, stereo surround, gear surround, right back to the rear cubby there are a few scratches and marks. This is the sort of thing which drives me nuts, so I'm considering some options.

(1) seen some dash conversion kits from USA, bringing the 06 onward interior to my 04. These look great, but aren't cheap. Anyone sell/source them in the UK?

(2) carbon fibre/vinyl pre cut wrap kits for self install. Not sure cf interior is my first choice, but it would definitely be better than the marked plastic I have. Anyone advise me how skillfull you need to be to complete a great looking job with this type of solution? Or should I just buy yards of it and cut to fit?

(3) some sort of upholstered covering, maybe suede or thin leather type material. Would be a professional job, same cost as option 1 you reckon?

Any other suggestions/links/northern based companies would be greatly appreciated, I'm certain I've not thought of everything.

There is a thread on here with some suede mods going on. The RSW CF kits are expensive, and you will probably struggle to get one for the 06+ dash, and try to update you dash

You could either wrap it, does not have to be CF look if you are not in to that.

Also why not :pmzmanalex: for a replacement which is in good nic, then flog your old one to someone who wants to tinker with covering a centre console.

Im thinking about getting mine wrapped, not so keen on the carbon fibre vinyl but seem to remember reading the normal flat ones dont cover the textured plastics of the dash that well ???

I think you can get slightly thicker wraps now which will not show the texture through. You could just wrap a wrap
