Window tint prices

Hey guys,

 

Have been quoted £150 inc VAT to do the rear window including rear quarters. Thought this was quite good, has anyone around the Gloucestershire area used these guys before? Price seem ok?

Will probably go for 75% tint as I think limo black wont look quite right on Gunmetal.

tint colour - same as mine, but as I recall it cost about £75 - SW Wales though

If you make the trip to Reading i know where you can have it done for £60. It is not his full time job and therefore is not insured but he has done over 100 cars and three of mine.

i had rear quarts and rear window tinted in the darkest they had which was almost limo on my gunmetal 350 done for £100 in Norwich, came with lifetime warrenty too as should most. looks real nice. remember, once you tint black you never go back. having rear parking sensors are convienient now.

That's well steep...I was quoted £80 for the rear and quarter windows, and that's London Prices

 

for £10 more they will come to me and do it at my house, they did my sons Golf windows all round

 

4 x side and rear for £150 ..!!

i thoguht tinting meant you could still see out the back without needing sensors - i'm worried about getting it done now

i use chris at top tints. hes mobile and does cover stroud, glos and chelt. whereyou based. i live in gloucester?

Normally not more than a few hours, depends what you have done. I tend to leave the cars and pick them up later.

Probably to allow the tints to properly adhere to the window. I expect more a caution from that particular fitter.

 

You can't legally tint the front windows, even a "light tint" is illegal.

You cannot tint your windscreen, you must allow 75% of light through the drivers and passenger windows

 

and you can have the rears as black as you like...

If it is 75% through the fronts then what is the current tint level of the stock drivers/passenger windows? How far can we take them or are they already as low as they can go?
