Little orange light

Ive just noticed a small orange light up next to the map reading lights?

 

Looked thru the manual and no mention of it, driving me crazy not knowing its purpose now...

Thats the little orange light to show you where the map reading light is

I think its just a fancy orange light that shines down onto the gear stick area...looks kinda nice in the dark.

 

I had these on the boxster I owned before but they were also on the door handles

Night time (map) reading light, red light doesn't make your pupils constrict so less likely to affect you night driving.
