Gerry67 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Hiya all I have a slight problem. I have a 2005 zed which when is out of gear and the clutch depressed it is making a strange noise. As soon as I press the clutch in, it gets away. Any suggestions? Gerry Quote
Husky Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Most likely your clutch release bearing that's causing the noise. sounds a bit like a distant cement mixer Quote
marzman Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Have you had the flywheel changed? If you have a lightweight fly, it grumbles a bit when the clutch is out, but when pressed in it goes away. Perfectly normal. Quote
Gerry67 Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Not sure about fly wheel. Only got the car a couple of months ago. Yeah, bit like a cement mixer Quote

glrnet Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Is search still not working? No mate, but use google with 350z-uk.com and the topic in the search and it should find it Quote
rabbitstew Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Id see if you can listen to another zed and see if its the same. I think they all do this to some degree. My HR with only 22k on the clock was making a noise which sounded very much like a release bearing also. Its apparently normal, and didnt cause me any problems over the next 20k i did in the car before selling it. Quote
