FUG Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 as the title goes does anyone have any receommendations as to which bug and tar remover to go with? Was in the supermarket today getting lunch and noticed a squirty bottle of the stuff for a few quid, is this more then adequate? And are there any harmful side effects on the cars paint in which case it pays to get something a bit more expensive/better from a named brand for example?? Thanks in advance Quote

Dblock Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 You can used the non acidic I4detailing stuff. I dont usually bother now but if it needs a little bit extra a few squirts of APC works fine Quote

DoogyRev Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Tardis for serious tar spots. I bought my dad Poorboys Bug Squash and he says it's amazing! +1 And get a Bug Sponge (Sponge in a net) from Halfrauds for the small areas that are really tough to remove with a normal sponge Quote
bronzee Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I use Turbo Wax - Cleaner Wax for little bits of bugs. Always a good layer of wax on my car so a good soaking they usually come straight off. Quote
jjt Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Tardis for serious tar spots. +1 for anything that won't remove itself from the paintwork easily, it's great stuff. Quote
