I noticed in the manual that the paintwork on the zed is guaranteed for ten years or sumthing like that (cant quite remember). Would this cover a rust bubble under the paint on the roof? if it does how do you go about getting it done? Thanks guys

I have seen a few posts on rust bubble on the roof by the windscreen and also on the bonnet near the catch being dealt with by Nissan under warranty...

The search if FUBAR but if you search in google you might find a link to them

Thanks dave. Have you any idea how to go about getting it done?

Just speak to Nissan HQ, be sure to mention the forum and that you know other members have had the same issue ;)

They will probably send you to a local dealer to assess the problem, only thing I could think might be a problem is if it is close to the windscreen and it has been changed as they could blame the fitter and the seal...

Didn't someone have a similar issue with a rusty bonnet the other week, but when the small print was read it said that the warranty didn't apply until there was an actual hole? Or did I dream it?

I believe the warranty only covers you if its rust from the inside, out. I've found a bubble on my roof yesterday while cleaning - I'll be checking with Nissan soon, but I have a feeling if they pull the roof interious out the car and find its actually from outside in they'll lumber me with 14hrs of labour or something silly.

Is there any way of telling if its inside out, rather than outside in?

I thought for any type of paint claim you had to have the paint work check ticked/signed at every 9000 mile service. Failure to get this done voids any warranty?
