First Wash & Photos

I washed the 370 yesterday. That's the first time I've washed a car in 5 years - a combination of company cars and living in country where you just pay someone peanuts to do it weekly...

So I didn't make too good a job of it. I really need to read up on the detailing threads...

 

This evening I got my camera out and took a few pics, here's the results..

 

 

 

An obligatory closeup..

 

 

There's no closeups of the wheels as my allow cleaning technique leaves much to be desired.

 

Even my wife got excited and came out for a pose...

 

 

 

I don't suppose anyone runs any detailing masterclasses?

Theres some good detailing threads in the detailing section.

 

Tim at envy organised a seminar at meguairs for us a while back and that was very useful as i picked up a lot on which products to use and how. Claying the car was a revelation.

For the side profile photos:

Taken with a couple of speed lights, one to the left, one to the right. The light stands are just off picture to the bottom right and bottom left. The lights are about waist high, with the left light a bit higher.

Camera was on manual - dialled to expose the ambient light, with the lights set to TTL, then exposure compensation for each light adjusted till it looked good on the back of the camera..
