How do I clean the bit where the hood fits into?

I've just been to Halfords for my "Two for One" offer on cleaning products to than you for the heads up on that one (sorry I can't remember who posted it  ) but I am not sure how to clean the bit where the roadster hood fits into? It is only visible briefly when putting the hood up or down and it has obviously not been cleaned much, if at all as it's really dusty looking.

Can anyone help please?

Is it ok to do this though? The chap who demonstrated it to me told me not to do it as it could cause damage so I haven't dared do it in case I fouled up the mechanism or something

Obviously that chap was a ****..... just release your button when both parts are open.

You only do damage if it's below 5 degrees and you open the roof..

Yes, just been reading how to do it. Going to show it off tomorrow to Mazda rotary club member. Must remember not to laugh when he starts going on about his lovely wankel :lol::lol:
