Not a Borla

The Bounty Bar Kid

Recommended Posts

When I purchased my car, I was told by the dealer that it was a Borla Exhaust system and whilst I have been going through this forum with a fine tooth comb, I came to realise that it isn't a Borla.

It is a Fujitsimo Giken exhaust. Not got a clue about it. Anybody able to tell me about it? A simple search revealed that an old member called Ming had one on their Zed. Apart from that I have no clue, so any help would be great if poss.

Thanx

Fujitsubo I think you mean, and not a bad system imo.

have a look at their site (not the greatest) http://www.fujitsubousa.com/ The japanese site is better: http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/english/

This might be the one you have? http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/english/legalis_r.html

Edit: Just to add not exactly a cheap system either B)

Yeah it is the Legalis R. Just wondering if anyone has some experience on it, their thoughts and if there are better ones out there. It sounds great but it's the only exhaust I've ever heard on it. Ideally I want the best BHP exhaust without going decat. Gonna get a Berk HFC asap.

I'm reliably informed (by the previous owner) my "other" Zed has a Fujitsubo zorts - described in the advert as "Twin" but it is in fact a cat back Y-piece to single pipe - good bore and looks OK apart from a damaged flexi - can't say what it sounds like as the engine is still TU.

The Borla for the 350 is not a "true dual", http://www.borla.com/products/search.as ... san%20350z, it's a catback. Had one on my old RX8, the sound is awesome B)

Thought there were two variants :(

Their blurb claims true dual, "The new Borla Cat-Back™ System (PN 140045) is a true dual exhaust with the famous Borla XR-1® Race-Bred Mufflers", though it all goes into the one box, I was under the impression that "true dual" would have two back boxes as well

Either way they are a quality item, and you get the "famous Borla million mile warranty"! :)

Nope, a true dual is only 2 pipes all the way back to the box. You'll probably find that the back box has a seperator in it to aid flow :) I'm sure theres a pic somewhere of the APS exhaust backbox opened up, which is the same setup as the Borla
