Anybody feeling the urge for these this year?

The long range predictions says snow... I guess north of the boarder it's more likely, but most of us got a dusting, and the icey conditions for the following weeks made getting about quite exciting.

Winter tyres pretty well solve this problem, and typically get put on from November to March.

If anybody would like a set, I'll be glad to get some options and prices :)

Might even be able to work out some tasty wheels and tyre deals ;)

Cheers

Hi

I live in very rural Aberdeenshire and the Z just wouldnt move in the snow we had last year. Will winter grips make a huge difference? i was planning just throwing some concrete blocks in the boot !

I'm interested and would like to know sooner rather than later if you get any prices on winter/all season tyres.

Ideal sizes are: 255/35/19 and 285/35/19, but something between 245 and 265 on the front and 275 and 295 on the rears would do.

I have some hankook pricing...

245/45/18 = 141.85+VAT and delivery

225/40/18 = 96.43+VAT and delivery

235/40/18 = 119.43+VAT and delivery

245/40/18 = 141.70+VAT and delivery

They dont like 19s, I am STILL waiting on a reply with quotes on 19s. :(

Are these full winter tyres or all season ones? Do you know what the model is? If these are all-season, their prices are pretty competitive against even standard Falkens which could make quite a lot of members very keen as these could be used in the summer too.

They V902 W-Drives - full blown winter tyres :)

You'd want to put them on around November, and take them off around March.

Over time, the net cost is pretty minimal as you're not putting miles on your summer tyres, so they last longer :)

Sounds interesting. I'm currently deciding on what I'm doing this winter, but just so I know ahead of time, what sort of turn around would these be for delivery?

these with or without studs? was off to scandinavia recently and had a look at their tyres B) need to be smaller with though so actually thinking on getting a steal wheel set this year for this purpose :scare:

I've just been doing some research on winter tyres for our Jazz (185/55/15) which rate these tyres - do you have a price for a pair delivered?

185/55/15 - £51.92+VAT per tyre in the Yokos

These are not studded, you cant use studded tyres on the road here, which there's thick snow you're fine, but as soon as you hit the black stuff again not only will they get trashed, but if you get spotted with them you'll get in a spot of bother :(

Those 20" sizes Yokohama dont do, and if somebody does them, they're likely to cost a small fortune :( Perhaps look at some cheap 17s - maybe standard wheels, and chuck some winter tyres on those to save your 20s from ruination?
