MadGrip Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Well my seats werent great, they were dirty, cracked and looking a little worse for wear. Id read on here about gliptone, so I ordered the cleaner, dye, conditioner, gloss finisher and set to work. I did about an hour every night for just over a week and the results, to me anyway, are outstanding. So if your seats are looking worn and you dont want to spend hundreds on a proffessional job, then I can highly recommend the treatments I've used.. Anyway, heres the before and after pics Quote
coldel Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I think liquidleather is a good site for it Quote
James B Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Awesome results. Think I'll be doing this for my black seats (although seeing those pics reminds me how much I love the Alezan ) Quote
coldel Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Would recommend people have a go at the seats using the gliptone kits...even for the practical-incompetents like myself it was pretty straightforward and the results are stunning - totally transform the interior of the car. Quote
MadGrip Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 where did you get the gliptone from? As mentioned before, I got the stuff from liquid leather website. I'm really pleased with the results and it's so easy to do if take your time & dint need to use the car for a week Quote
BatteryLow Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 That's Impressive! my seats are showing their age abit now so I will have to give this a go! Quote
Karlp Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Another gliptone +1 here. Makes your car seats look new, also gives your car a rich leather smell that you can smell even outside your car. Quote
CAMELZED Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Must get some of that. My seats starting to look a bit worn too. Quote
Darren-B Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Just ordered the re colouring kit myself, will post up my results as & when Quote

bmg Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 just done the leather cleaner and conditioner with gliptone, my seats were beggining to resemble a german shotputters back. the gliptone worked a treat, am gng to try the scuff master dye type stuff, to fill in some little scuffs. Quote
Darren-B Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Gliptone works Miracles, I`m just doing an overhaul on a Vanquish at the mo, I have found that the trick is to repeat the clean & condition process multiple times over a week or until you stop removing any dirt on your clothes, then dye the leather if necessary viewtopic.php?f=21&t=61062 Quote
jinxy Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Used some Scuffmaster today with a bit of leather filler to repair my worn seat bolster. I had to sand & fill the cracks then used a spray gun with the Scuffmaster as the finish was much better than using the sponge. Before: After: The kit supposedly doesn't need a sealant but I am considering using one anyway to seal the finish and increase the resistance to future wear. Quote
