Toyo Proxies T1-R or Michelin Pilot Sport-1?

As the title says, which ones should I fit on the zed, I can get them both at the same price. (Usually the Michelins are a bit more expensive than the Toyos). I have used Michelins on my old M3 before & they were very very good but have no experience of Toyos, apart from the good reviews Iv read & positive feedback from other zed owners on here using them. (I will be changing all four)

MPS from Costco who are doing 20% off: (fitted)

Only got experience of the Toyo. Bought them recentley and so far enjoying.

again, only Toyo experience, not as stiff a sidewall as the Bridgestones, but still miles better.

I'm interested in this as well, just been quoted £173 each for the rears fitted for Michelins. What price have you been qouted as the Toyos are a fair bit cheaper normally. Michelins from ATS with 25% off.

 

Don't want to be getting ripped off.

Only had Toyos and am happy with them - much better than the Stones... heard that the MPS ones are the ones to go with if you can afford them though. Talk to Forum member Andy - he may be able to do you a good deal... he did with me! ( More commission Andy.... lol ).

I take it you guys are all running on 18" wheels. Anybody put the Toyos on the standard JDM 17" wheels?

What tyre speed rating is recommended for the Z, assuming one is not intending to exceed JDM speed limit of 112mph, of course?

Right guys, have had a good old chat with my Toyo rep and after plying him doughnuts and coffee, he has agreed to do us a special price on the Z setup of 225/45/18 & 245/45/18.

 

We currently have 2 complete Toyo T1-R sets in stock and will keep stock from now on and I can now offer them for £450 including delivery and vat.

 

Delivery will be on a next day basis to mainland UK so long as you order them before about 3.30 otherwise we will miss our courier!!

If you are doing any track work MPS are the daddies. Cant complain about Toyos either tho. I just think the Michelins eek out the last bit of grip.
