If you see one you like it's always worth checking whether it's available through the DVLA which tends to be the cheapest source. My dad was going to buy a 'matching plate' to the one he has for his toy. It was advertised at £1800 I think and Dad offered £1500 then £1700..... 3 years later the same site has it advertised for £4000 or £4500. Surely selling it would have made more sense. Did you check the regulations? They vary on pre and post 2001 marks. Obviously I don't care if it's legal or not but it's always better to be prepared incase you meet hitler cop.
