Injectors...is bigger better?

I'm getting a remap in April but want to get the most out of it. I have done all the basic tuning but I have been told by an avid scooby enthusiast, that larger flow rate injectors are a must to get the most out of the mapping.

I'm thinking 600cc, but I'm having trouble finding them. Is an upgrade to 500cc pointless, esp if i am looking to get some big power outputs in the long term?

And where can I find a reliable UK dealer for said items????

Only if your fi would you need bigger injectors, or your maxing out your fuel system but I really would doubt that if your only na. If you was to get bigger injectors you would probably need a better fuel pump like a walbro 255 but i really really doubt you will see any improvement with bigger injectors.

Cheers guys, eventually I am aiming to supercharge but not for at least 18 months and seeing as I'll be saving a fair old wedge for that, I guess I can allow for a few extra pennies for injectors and pump. I do normally ignore the guy with the scooby, but sometimes he goes on and on and on!!!

Chris 'I - I have plenty of experience with tuning NA and turbos, thanks mate....but as pointed out on this forum, no two cars, be it two nissans, a nissan and Toyota, Evo and Scooby, or cosworth and RS Turbo are the same. This is why I ask the question.

What it called is LEARNING. This is my first zed so if you are going to comment, please make it constructive mate!!! Thanks

Fiesta XR2i, Escort GTi, Mondeo ST24, Celica GT4, Honda Civic Type S, Mercedes CLK 230........not a bad list of cars tuned; turbos, Superchargers, NA, V6!!!!

Wast aimed at you bud - more the legion of Scooby and Evo owners that think all their mods will work on NA cars :bangin: You can be pretty sure they always know how to tune every car out there.

As Mark says the stock injectors are good for 350HP, so you have quite a bit of overhead with them if you are staying NA ;)

Yeah they do, and they still think that they are cool!!!! Turbos are so over-rated in my book!

if its possible to pull big n/a figures which are similar to the turbo figures, i would keep it n/a all the way. Unfortunately its very costly for this and the gains arent massive. N/A power is pure raw power
