ec2a350z Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Hi Everyone, There are some really harsh speed bumps around where I live and I think driving over them has caused my undertray to come loose and now it is hanging off! Anyone have any suggestion about where to get a new one from or how I can repair the old one? The fixings have broken. I've got a 03 reg. Any help would be great! Cheers Quote
Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 03 reg 370z ? This happened to mine a few months back and my wheel liner ended up disintegrating on the tyre. He will be able to help you Quote

Steady Zeddy Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 As a temporary repair - while the fixings make be broken you could just drill a few new holes through the plastic and use tie-binds to fix to original bolt points. At least it'll keep the undertray off the road. Quote
jimmyboyb Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I had the same thing happen to mine a little while back. Ended up cutting loads of it off. Not sure if this is doing something to wind resistance as now when I get to about 120 *cough* it wont go any faster.... sounds a bit silly but wondered if its not as aerodynamic as it was. Quote
Lincolnbaggie Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Mine's cable-tied already and never caused a problem. All the fixings rust and then tear the plastic when you try and take them off, common problem. Quote
ATTAK Z Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 New fixings are available from Nissan .......... also a good mod is to fabricate an after-market under tray in aluminium ..... and don't go over 80 with a flappy undertray, it WILL detach at high speed !! and that'll be your wheel arch lining boggurd !! Ian Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I haven't had an undertray fitted for years. No issues going over a certain speed on the autobahn but theres a definite effect on the stability of the car at higher speeds Quote
