anyone else noticed that tesco has changed the name of their 99 ron fuel to momentum 99?

Tesco round my way is the most expensive for all fuels. Shell are 5p cheaper.

yep i noticed it the other day too, i also got confused.

Filled up with it last night and never noticed. Not totally true, I didn't have my glasses on for reading so it could have said anything

Yep, it change couple of weeks ago down here, I've asked the guys at the till why and whats changed, but they didn't know ans found nothing on the web site either

They are sponsoring thornley motorsport as momentum 99 racing...I'm guesing tesco pikey racing didn't have the same ring.

Agreed, its just a marketing thing. Joe Bloggs wont realise that Tesco99 is the same as BP Ultimate and Shell Optimax, so they've given it a jazzy name to catch peoples attention

If they done it just to jazz it up, they could of thought of a better name! Something like "sh!t off a shovel 99" or "Rocket fuel 99"

nice to know i'm now using proper race fuel, will hopefully see a few seconds taken off my lap times
