Wipers

Hi guys,

My front wipers need changing due to corrosion (the whole set) and the rear blade needs changing. Thought I'd use the opportunity to look at other options possibly. I've heard that the PIAA ones are pretty good, anyone got them?

Really? Over-double-the-price-amazing?

The AeroTwins I have remove water from my windscreen - can't get much more amazing than that in the world of wipers, as far as I'm concerned! :p Seriously though, I've had bad na daverage wipers before but I'd say the Aeros are the best I've had. Not tried the PIAA so I could be missing out on a whole world of water free windscreen motoring (as well as £30)...

I personally think the Aero wipers look a lot better too. Less fussy.

they are so good i don't even need to use them.

when combined with the PIAA fluids i only tend to use the wipers when doing less than 40 mph, after that the water just falls off in tiny beads. so i don't even have to wipe.

usually in heavy rain i wipe the screen once every 5 minutes. where most normal cars are doing it twice a second.

But isn't that more to do with the fluid you've put on the screen (and can buy seperately) rather than the wipers themselves?

I don't know, but that's what I'd imagine.

Does sound good though!

the wipers auotmatically put down a layer of silicon on the screen the fluids help.

i used to use just rainex, it was good, but nothing compared to the combination of PIAA with it

  • 2 weeks later...

I've decided to go for the Bosch for now, and then in Autumn (when more rain is expected, then again you never know with this country) I'll upgrade to the PIAA.

I'm looking around on eBay and seeing some listings tagged with ' 20" ', all the blade lengths should be the same right?

18" on front passenger arm, 20" on driver arm and 20" on the rear arm I believe!!!

I think it should actually be 20" on the drivers side, 18" on the passenger side and 18" on the rear. I ordered a full set of blades from Sarah (Chilli Red) and that's what arrived and they fit.
