  1. Hi, But of a bump... £75? Would rather sell here than eBay if anyone's interested? Good eggs Matt
  2. Whilst moving house I came across these OEM splash guards I had on one of my Zeds. Guess I was keeping them in case I ended up with another. Seems unlikely since I just bought myself a new project - '84 Capri 2.8... They're in genuinely good condition considering that they're second hand splash guards. I have more photos I took a couple weeks ago but forgot to put my username in the images, so if you're interested and require more than is shown below, please just ask and I can email them over or something. I've noticed there aren't many of these about painted for sale. On eBay they're fetching around £25 a corner in much worse condition than this. They are used and have a few scratches as you'd expect. A lot of the marks you see in the above images are actually road dirt and tar. I've not cleaned them since I took them off the car. Soz I was hoping for £100 for all four, but if there isn't much interest I may take less. They're just getting in the way of shiny new Capri parts now! Make me an offer. Hope you're all well - missing you! x Cheers, Matt
  3. Only a few bits left to go now. Thanks everyone for all your interest. Missing my Zed Matt.
  4. Had loads of offers for £90 for the spacer, will take £100, no offers. Sorry for lack of updates.
  5. Sorry again on slow to update this thread guys, the bluetooth adapter is already sold. Will update now.
  6. You can get a spacer for that, but not the thermal one. I've had it for ages, not been looking at what parts go for in a very long time. I'm open to sensible offers. But thanks for the heads-up You appear to be missing the ISO thermal parts, though… Really? Damnit! Sorry about that guys. I think you're right. Damnit. Price reduced to £100.
  7. Sorry my inbox is/was full. I've tried to clear it out and sent PM's to those who have inquired or made an offer. Sorry in not checking back for responses sooner! Didn't even realise the post had been accepted. Matt.
  8. You can get a spacer for that, but not the thermal one. I've had it for ages, not been looking at what parts go for in a very long time. I'm open to sensible offers. But thanks for the heads-up
  9. It just clicks into the holder under the armrest. You can download manuals from the internet, but believe me you'll have no problem plugging it in and connecting to your phone. Never used it with a 4S, but have used it with other iPhones.
  10. Hello Zedders. Been a while since I sold my 350Z and still have some parts hanging around I thought you guys might be interested in before I put them on eBay. Open to sensible offers. I'm in Manchester if you'd like to collect, otherwise delivery is included. Thanks, Peace out. Matt. (*Doesn't actually make your car faster)
  11. Good call on the MAF sensor - don't know why I haven't tried that already. I know the filter's nearly new Pipercross effort so don't think it's that. Mine's aircon off, will try with it on also. It doesn't seem to bad at idle most of the time, to be honest. Sometimes drops a little bit but then so did my last Zed. Hope it's not the spark plug thing. That'd be a bit of an arse to diagnose surely? How'd you know which one?
  12. I forgot to mention before, it only seems noticable at low revs, like up to 2,500rpm-ish before it smoothes out. Also, it has a single mass flywheel, but I don't think that's what's causing the issue as previously the car seemed fine. Hope somebody somewhere has some idea! Cheers...
  13. Hey guys. I've noticed recently when my car's cold in the morning under anything more than slight acceleration I sometimes get a slighty lumpy, almost mis-fire kind of feeling that's also noticable on the lift-off when coming to a corner/roundabout/whatever, the car is less smooth than it should be. It's my 2nd Zed and I've never noticed it on my other one, or even this one until recently, so I'm pretty sure it's not normal, but wondered if anyone ahd some advice on what might be the issue or any tests I could do myself to try and diagnose what it is. I know it's had spark plugs fairly recently, oil is clean and at a good level, airbox is clean, no warning lights. I'm at a bit of a loss where to start, to be honest. Had a quick search of the forum but not really found anything similar yet. Cheers!

    £101...

Filled up yesterday at Morrisons, I had been running on empty for a while... £101 later. Not happy. I've never spent that much on a tank of fuel before, this is getting ridiculous! I think we need a fuel strike again
  15. I've done about 6 hours of motorway driving in the last 24 hours, and usually do a couple every day. I'm an "under-taker" I like to think I'm a safe driver, very aware of what's around me and conditions etc, and generally I don't think undertaking is dangerous. People should check their mirrors and blind spots when changing to either the inside or outside lanes, so in my opinion under-taking is no more dangerous than overtaking, if you are vigilant. There is the obvious 'they might not be expecting you' argument, which I think isn't really a very good one, as they might not be expecting anything at all considering they are sat in the middle lane. I find 50% of people I undertake generally move to the correct lane after realising, but you do get some foold who are totally oblivious and perhaps being a little bit lazy. The worst I noticed today was on 4 lane roads where people seem to have a fear of the 'slow lane' and just hog the other three. The thing is if there is more than one lane then the other lanes are purely for overtaking, and should be treated as such. Sadly there is no motorway training or tests to get your driving license in the UK, and it certainly shows. Although having said that, learners would (or should) usually be taken to a dual carriage way, where the same rules apply, and skills taught as on the motorways. There really isn't much we can do about it now, unfortunately. I think the correct, legal approach to a middle-lane-hogger would be to keep a safe distance behind and flash with your lights to let them know you are there, and if safe to do so they should move over, lesson learned, feeling a little embarassed about their silly mistake. I'm not an agressive driver and don't usually do that, which is why I under-take. People often take offence to other drivers pointing out they are doing something wrong rather than accept it. Strange how cars do that to people. A bit like internet forums sometimes Flashing lights... Does anyone realise that in the UK we all use our flash for the opposite of what is intended for? It's actually a warning signal, like your horn. You should never 'flash' someone (ooo-er!) to give way to them. If they were to pull out and have an accident, or someone drive into them after you signalled it was safe to do so, you could be held responsible. Strange, but true. Can you tell I've spent a lot of lone time in my car today? Sorry...
  16. Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts? That might be me. Whereabouts were you - what were you in?
  17. Blinkin' 'eck, that looks super clean. A Good show, ol' chap.
  18. To be honest this thread got silly before the end of the first page. Neil - you should be careful how you word things because this thread has just made you look an arrogant fool. I'm not bothered, obviously, just some friendly forum advice The other thread: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=37450 didn't make the ToyoSport exhausts out to be all that bad from what I can tell. Yeah, fair enough, some people had some fitment issues, but most were easily overcome. Like I said before, if you're capable then a bit of modifying on the cheaper system seems to make sense to me. I think for the price of a used unit and the cost of insurance increase by chavving up my car with a SS exhaust ( ), I know what I'll be doing... But thanks to everyone who did have some sensible/helpful input here
  19. Good point, well made. But I wouldn't like to go out down town with you if can drink £120 worth of beer. Concrete stomach? Couple beers and whiskys for me and I feel crap the next day! If I get a 2nd hand OEM system for 1/4 of the Scorpion price then considering it's only a small (1hour?) job and the saving on insurance premiums, it seems like a wise move to make. On top of all that I like my cars as standard as possible (wheel spacers and stubby excluded!)
  20. No offence, but you did. Perhaps you're right. Not everyone will appreciate the running cost of most cars, not just a zed. However, I honestly don't think that not 'maintaining' my exhaust is why the join between the two sections corroded. I would say it was more likely to do with being 6 or 7 years old, the British weather, road salts and it being made from steel. Oh, and I've only owned this zed a few weeks. If the previous owner had cleaned his exhaust more often then I might not be having to deal with this now. Now I come to think of it he did say he was selling it because he couldn't afford to maintain it any more... ...I take back what I said, maybe you were on to something! These thing happen to all cars, I've owned enough (race cars and others) to know this. If I had a Metro or a Masarrati I would still say my mantra 'stupid cars'! I agree that some things are cheap for a reason but I would also call any man a fool who believed just because a product cost him more than another, that automatically makes it better. From what I read about these toyosport exhausts they're good value for money but can require some modification. If you're up for that then a saving of 50% seems like a good idea to me.
  21. Oh yeah, I right fancy hacking my car to bits to fit an exhaust. Will this allow me to do that? I'll take two. I always fancied quad exhausts... Or perhaps I'll give it a miss then. I hadn't seen that the seller was toyosport - see that's why I posted here so someone could point out the obvious I missed! Cheers everyone. To be honest, the extra £120 is half as much again, and then I've insurance considerations on top of that so I think I'll just try and get a decent second hand one. Hopefully soon because it's pretty loud at the minute... Stupid cars, breaking all the time.
  22. Hey. My backbox has rotted through where it joins the rear middle section, so I'm going to need to replace both parts now. Could do without it, butthereyougo. I was having an eBay snoop when I came across a few places selling these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-I ... 5d2ba6b263 £250 for a stainless backbox and middle section - sounds like a bloody good price to me. Anyone have any experience of these at all, or any advice? I guess the only thing would be sound level (happy with standard volume level, or there abouts, thanks!) or fitting, but if it doesn't fit I can send it back. The ad reads designed to fit a 350z, so no arguing if I Paypal the amount. So other than that, what's you lot think? If anyone reading this has a standard exhaust in good condition they're trying to sell PM me Good eggs.
  23. Lucky the can didn't bounce off his helmet and smash into the Porsche driven by a champion heavyweight boxer... Could escalate quite quickly!
