rtbiscuit Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 i think it would be a bit too much for a headlining imo, its hard to say as ive never seen a car with it agreed and the black alacantra would look far better, and give you that lovely soft to the touch feeling Quote
Biggy Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 i cant say i've seen it done before, and i meant with the resin and harder on it, It would be possible to do it on a car where you don't need to flex the headlining to get it in, now the only thing i've seen similar to this is my friends 206 which has a fibreglass roof lining with a moulded in stack dash: Quote
rtbiscuit Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 sorry biggy but thats all too shiney for me. don't mind an all black interior but i think with an alacantra roof and the lovely soft feel to it; would make the zed cabin a lovely place to be. Quote

Biggy Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Dont forget that is solid black, carbon fibre would look lighter, specially if you had colour clear over the top or a matt finish, would probably be more suited to a race style Zed such as Ians was or steddy zeddy's. But hey it's only ideas end of the day Quote
R35LEE Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Don't forget the curtain airbags push the headlining out of the way when they deploy guys. Keep The headliner as soft as possible if your covering / trimming it Quote
350 Russ Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I'm getting tempted by this, how much is a couple of meters squared of alcantara? Quote
R35LEE Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Dan Cash did it ages ago and I supplied him with the headliner . Try and do a search for his thread guys I have 3 sets of sun visors and 2 headliners in stock if anyone wants to experiment without ripping their car to bits :pmr35lee: I think Dan said it made the cabin feel a lot smaller in black. I would advise a grey Quote
