How cheap are admiral?!

same happened to me last year..... so will see if they manage to do the same come renewal time or if it was just a ploy to get the business :)

They will try and put it up, but if you take a quote as a new customer & tell them what it is they usually match it :)

because lots of people are to stupid to check else where and just renew with out asking questions.

i'm with admiral, and have been for 3 years, but every year my renewal is always higher than previous. with a bit of ringing around and getting quotes. have gone back and ended up back with them and saving another £200 on the previous year.

its all a game.

why they play it is a pain. keeping customer loyalty is not a priority

You could try Chris Knott too. They are forum sponsors and lots of people are happy with the service and price.

All drivers have to be over 25 though.

I'll give them a try - I'm 26 so officially old. (according to the Mrs' brothers)

Good to see them beating it, but why is the Suzuki so expensive? :bangin:

We got my Zed and the missus Ibiza for £800 all in this year after much haggling with Admiral :#1:

I'll bet it is because it has less no claims. You can't mirror no claims with admiral.

My gaylander costs more to insure than the Zed!:lol:

On another note I just renewed my motorbike insurance which took a healthy drop again this year. I got prices on line and my renewal quote (through the post) was BETTER than the quotes I got as a new customer. ebike insurance know about loyalty!

Ah ok, we have seperate no claims for me and Amanda, but are covered on each others cars, so always have a health no claims on each, both guarenteed now :teeth:

^ Hi,

hard to say if we can beat it without running through the details with you on the phone. Yes in some cases we are now offering multicar policies. Feel free to PM me your contact details and i can arrange a call back for you, alternatively please phone us on 02083645500.

Thanks

We do have two insurance companies on the forum.....I'd be interested though to see how many of us are actually insured by them.

Last year Knott's wouldn't even quote me (car kept on road and no previous performance experience) and Sky came in at £1600 !! I mean...come on a 36yr old female community worker is hardly high risk now is she? ;)

Just had my renewal through from Direct Line - £1041.60 :scare:

Tried Admiral's MultiCar with the Zed and my Vitara.

How can Direct Line try and charge that much when Admiral charge less for TWO cars?

I don't know about Direct Line, but I've just renewed my 2009 Roadster for £244.46 with AXA, the KA cost £130, with AA. £500 excess both. :)

How the hell did you manage that? You must be in your sixties with full NCB!

More than you'd imagine are with Chris Knott. Dont know about Sky. Chris Knott do keep their prices low by making restrictions such as area, age and driving expereience, but then when you meet the restrictions, they can do some good deals. Not good enough for me this year though, Admiral were still cheapest.

i got a quote with Adrian flux for me (26) and my Mrs (23). £2500 :scare:

chris nott were just as bad.

admiral were 700. fully comp, break down, and 150 XS for me and 250 XS for my mrs. with full NCB protection. not a bad price i thought, but might have to try this multicar.

how does that work exactly? if i have a bump does my mrs lose the NCB or visa versa?

Problem is with admiral they dont normally cover any mods and when they do they charge alot! Your better off with a specialist, sky were good with me they gave me a good quote but Aplan were the best! Couldnt help me enough and explained everything very well! With the car fully insured with every single mod! Chris knott annoyed me slightly as they kept wanting me to find the best quotes I could then send them in writing so they could match it, whereas Aplan just undercut chris knotts by a good deal and were happy to answer every question I had instead off the blunt replies I received off chris knott so def try aplan

Hi John.

I had a similar problem with BMW Insurance. I own a Mini JCW GP and now also a Z. BMW quoted in excess of £1000, not for both cars but as an add on for the Z. I am already paying £ 550 for the Mini. I went with the Admiral multi car policy and paid approx £ 950 for the 2 cars.

Where abouts in Staffs are you ?
