Tarmac@TarmacSportz
I think someone bought something off eBay and tried it but I don't think it worked. Have you done a search ? Might help you out, I would try n find it but i'm on the iPhone and it's hard work. Might be under 'micra key'
rtbiscuit
lots of posts already, jist of the conversation so far is that the circuitry in the UK keyfob doesn't fit any nissan folding keyfob. search for carbon coops, he is currently developing a standard keyfob in carbon, with the long term plan to build a folding version

Don't you use remote lock and unlock?

Gervais
I sent a message to a guy selling those, and asked him if it would work with a 350z key as there are too many holes, he seemed to think it does somehow Needless to say I didnt reply back to them. bounty78
I think someone here has had a go previously...do a search. Unfortunately our UK transponder chip doesn't fit those moulds. Think they are for the American versions...best bet is wait for carbon coop to come up with something.

IanS16
Thanks to Sparky350z for sending me his folding key fob I have dismantled my OEM key and can now confirm that a JDM chip WILL fit in the folding fobs! The problem I have at the minute is that the rubber buttons are spaced about 1mm out to press the contacts on the chip. I reckon that if I cut off the rubber nipple and glue it slightly lower then it'll work. Also the battery compartment is slightly out so it'll take a little bit of cutting Just trying to work out what I can do with the boot and alarm buttons. Pics to show chip size: Can anybody confirm what the chip I'm holding is? Its situated in the corner of the key.
sparky370z
no Problem Ian , i believe that it is the transponder chip. it need to be in the correct place for the immobiliser to disengage. good news for you JDM boys! Sparky
