Roof won't open fully

350Z Roadster - 2005

The roof gets stuck between the 9th and 10th operations - the 12th being when the lid closes!

It has responded to a gentle push at this point, giving the impression that something is slightly out of shape or is out of alignment, but no longer.

Are there any other soft top owners who have had this experience and found a self help solution?

Had this with my Roadster. Delearship sorted it out. Sorry cannot help further.

Just one suggestion, is your battery fully charged?

Thanks for your responses - its reasuring to know that this is a recognised fault, and probably fixable without main agents intervention!

MartinMac - not sure what 350Z tsb is - sorry.

Yes I will post some info and pics - over the hols.

The 350Z is a totally standard 2005 Azure Blue with 15K miles - everyday transport is a much improved and remapped V70 T5 auto.

Seems a common problem - also the material stiffens up this time of year and motors need to work harder to close. Just ensure the roof is dry before you fold it.

It will close eventually - you need to help it at first then grease up the arched rail at the back either side where the plastic rollers slide over it.
