  1. Parked up outside Kings on Sandown High Street. Thought might be on their way to our Saturday meet !
  2. Just left Bristol and heading home in the baby beamer east on the M4 4ish. Passed by a black Nissan 4x4 and OR in convoy being very brave speed wise! I tagged along until we met a patrol car - they carried on . . . . . . Like to know their secret
  3. Continue to get ' the time you entered is not valid'. Have tried 12hr clock with and without preceding 0 and 24hr clock despite am/pm. To fulfill calander requirements I have selected a 3.30pm start and 6.00pm finish for a regular weekly meet. With the message : Meet, drive out and pub chat. Gather at Yaverland car park by the sailing club. All welcome with or without a Zed + do suggest better times/locations/ideas for a meet. Could you post this on my behalf ?
  4. Keep getting an 'oops' when info is submitted. I must be missing something - please advise.
  5. Got the Avatar up OK - jpegs are getting the better of me ! Think I need an idiots' guide that assumes no prior knowledge. Suggestions ?
  6. Super site - like the search options. Thank you team
  7. Hi JO3YT Just caught up with your first post - welcome! Didn't see your Z on High park today. Zeds seem to be on the increase so this could be a good time to get an island group together. Three of us - all roadsters - met up at Yaverland on Saturday, had a bit of a drive and chat at the Fighting Cocks. We're keen to be sociable, share experiences, skills and generally support fellow enthusiasts. You'd be most welcome to join us next Saturday 3.30 Yaverland car park. Robin
  8. Thanks for the advice - I'll give it a go.
  9. Hi Josh Steve and I met up on Saturday - sorry you couldn't make it. Hope the repairs were successful. Have since been contacted by another island roadster owner + 'spotted' an azure coup in the High Park area of Ryde - OJ 03. I have a pic of our first meet - have tried to put it on the forum with no luck. How did you get your pic on there? We plan to give Yaverland another go this Saturday at 3.30pm any chance you could join us? Regards Robin
  10. Hi Steve Look forward to saturday - see you at Yaverland 3.30 ish Josh - could you face being a passenger!
  11. Hi Josh Yes, it could have been me - but - there is another on a 55 plate + panama - I've seen it pulling into one of the cliff top roads in Shanklin. I shall do a recce with spotted cards. I've a little tale about the main agent's one - so has Steve ! I'll save it 'till we meet up. My exhaust also gave out, the flange beside the rear nearside wheel had rusted through, but a nifty weld saved the day. Plan to do away with that enormous rear box at some point I'm currently favouring a Japspeed K1 unless I learn of something better at around the same money.
  12. Hi Josh Thanks for making contact. I'll let you know through this forum when and where Steve and I will be meeting up. We're both based in Shanklin, where are you? Excellent colour btw - I have the roadster version. Hope the repairs go well
  13. Hi Attak Z Fine, so I'm now on the runway for RAF Finningley - that was! This is obviously not going to be easy.
  14. Hi Choosing this option certainly has an effect on the list but how do you bring up members geographical location? I'm lost on this one !
  15. Hi SWRSteve Yes well met - perhaps we can do better than a supermarket car park next time ! Meanwhile I'll have spotted cards at the ready. Bronzee what sort of following does the Z have in the colonies?
  16. Thanks for the advice - I have printed out some 'spotted' cards to be use as and when. Can anyone tell me about the 'location' option on the membership menu?
  17. Hi I'm into my fourth happy year of 350Z ownership - and would like to meet up with others for drive outs, events and pooling of skills/spares/equipment etc. The 'location' option on the membership list doesn't bring up members grouped geographically - is this right? So am hoping that this request might be successful in kick starting some island interest from other Z owners/enthusiasts. How have other areas gone about it? serious metal
  18. Replaced the original Bridgestones with TR1s - having been advised that the sidewall issue had been remedied - it hasn't. They are less immediate in their response and have reduced the amount of 'feel'!
  19. Health and Safety Advice for the Christmas Period Please be mindful of this advice when engaging in any of the following carols and associated activities. The Rocking Song Little Jesus, sweetly sleep, do not stir; We will lend a coat of fur, We will rock you, rock you, rock you, We will rock you, rock you, rock you: Fur is no longer appropriate wear for small infants, both due to risk of allergy to animal fur, and for ethical reasons. Therefore faux fur, a nice cellular blanket or perhaps micro-fleece material should be considered a suitable alternative. Please note, only persons who have been subject to a Criminal Records Bureau check and have enhanced clearance will be permitted to rock baby Jesus. Persons must carry their CRB disclosure with them at all times and be prepared to provide three forms of identification before rocking commences. Jingle Bells Dashing through the snow In a one horse open sleigh O'er the fields we go Laughing all the way A risk assessment must be submitted before an open sleigh is considered safe for members of the public to travel on. The risk assessment must also consider whether it is appropriate to use only one horse for such a venture, particularly if passengers are of larger proportions. Please note, permission must be gained from landowners before entering their fields. To avoid offending those not participating in celebrations, we would request that laughter is moderate only and not loud enough to be considered a noise nuisance. While Shepherds Watched While shepherds watched Their flocks by night All seated on the ground The angel of the Lord came down And glory shone around The union of Shepherds has complained that it breaches health and safety regulations to insist that shepherds watch their flocks without appropriate seating arrangements being provided, therefore benches, stools and orthopaedic chairs are now available. Shepherds have also requested that due to the inclement weather conditions at this time of year that they should watch their flocks via cctv cameras from centrally heated shepherd observation huts. Please note, the angel of the lord is reminded that before shining his / her glory all around she / he must ascertain that all shepherds have been issued with glasses capable of filtering out the harmful effects of UVA, UVB and Glory. Little Donkey Little donkey, little donkey on the dusty road Got to keep on plodding onwards with your precious load The RSPCA have issued strict guidelines with regard to how heavy a load that a donkey of small stature is permitted to carry, also included in the guidelines is guidance regarding how often to feed the donkey and how many rest breaks are required over a four hour plodding period. Please note that due to the increased risk of pollution from the dusty road, Mary and Joseph are required to wear face masks to prevent inhalation of any airborne particles. The donkey has expressed his discomfort at being labelled 'little' and would prefer just to be simply referred to as Mr. Donkey. To comment upon his height or lack thereof may be considered an infringement of his equine rights. We Three Kings We three kings of Orient are Bearing gifts we traverse afar Field and fountain, moor and mountain Following yonder star Whilst the gift of gold is still considered acceptable - as it may be redeemed at a later date through such organisations as 'cash for gold' etc, gifts of frankincense and myrrh are not appropriate due to the potential risk of oils and fragrances causing allergic reactions. A suggested gift alternative would be to make a donation to a worthy cause in the recipients name or perhaps give a gift voucher. We would not advise that the traversing kings rely on navigation by stars in order to reach their destinations and suggest the use of RAC routefinder or satellite navigation, which will provide the quickest route and advice regarding fuel consumption. Please note as per the guidelines from the RSPCA for Mr Donkey, the camels carrying the three kings of Orient will require regular food and rest breaks. Facemasks for the three kings are also advisable due to the likelihood of dust from the camels’ hooves. Rudolph the red nosed reindeer Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose. And if you ever saw him, you would even say it glows. You are advised that under the Equal Opportunities for All policy, it is inappropriate for persons to make comment with regard to the redness of any part of Mr. R. Reindeer. Further to this, exclusion of Mr R Reindeer from the Reindeer Games will be considered discriminatory and disciplinary action will be taken against those found guilty of this offence. A full investigation will be implemented and sanctions - including suspension on full pay - will be considered whilst this investigation takes place.
  20. Thanks for your responses - its reasuring to know that this is a recognised fault, and probably fixable without main agents intervention! MartinMac - not sure what 350Z tsb is - sorry. Yes I will post some info and pics - over the hols. The 350Z is a totally standard 2005 Azure Blue with 15K miles - everyday transport is a much improved and remapped V70 T5 auto.
  21. 350Z Roadster - 2005 The roof gets stuck between the 9th and 10th operations - the 12th being when the lid closes! It has responded to a gentle push at this point, giving the impression that something is slightly out of shape or is out of alignment, but no longer. Are there any other soft top owners who have had this experience and found a self help solution?
