clarkie34 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Carbon Forza are supposed to be doing carbon skinning of the mirrors. As for the Mines lip,at over £600 pound a pop and rare as hens teeth I doubt you will find a second hand one. Quote
350 Russ Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 i was thinking of going for the envy copy of the lip! ill look into the wing mirrors! ive been looking at skinning them myself but saw a video of it on youtube and quickly went off that idea lol Quote
Ian Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Mine's FTW I paid about £520 for mine but that was a few months ago when the exchange rate was a bit better Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Lip and mirror covers covers were from delsea motorsports (not around anymore) but are a great fit.... Lip is a veilside one.. Quote
350 Russ Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 thanks for the quick response! my car is silver aswell so ive got a rough idea what they will look like! cheers folks Quote
yokomo Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 seena few guys wiht the mirros covers at japshow , looks great so im after some mys elf but would much rather have replacements than covers/skinned . carbon should really be a weight saving not add weight ! Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 the weight that the covers give is hardly gonna shave time off... Quote
Ian Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 the weight that the covers give is hardly gonna shave time off... Every little helps If it was a track warrior then i can see the point in making it lighter but on a road car are you really gonna notice the difference? Quote
yokomo Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 indeed only going to be a couple grams at most , just not a fan of carbon for looks sake alone aka covers , also they will lever look as good as a replacement part although , mirror howsings cant be that hard to make for real surely ! Quote
Adam@Z1auto.com Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Mines discontinued their carbon lip for the Z for mirror covers: http://www.z1auto.com/images/carbigncra ... oversZ.jpg for true carbon mirrors (these are the real deal, same as used throughout JGTC) expensive, but lighter than stock, and believe it or not, way more visibility! Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Adam, you got the bottom ones in stock? PM price please!! Quote
rtbiscuit Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 are those mirrors fully electric like th eoriginals? Quote
alessandro Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Sorry Would the CF mirror covers still look good on a blade OEM body? I know it's all about personal taste but I also know that certain items don't really pull it off on standard body Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Stock! All a matter of personal taste as you say but I think they look pretty good!.. Quote
