Track day tow hooks

Hi guys,

 

I am about to emabark on my first track day with my Zed, but I need to fit a towing eye. I've had a look over the car but can't seem to find where to fit one!!

 

Does it have a fitting point?

one on the front and rear, the rear is behind a small plastic square, the front is in the top middle part of the grill, the plastic cover should come out easily.

i really like those red ones that i've seen, i think they are hinged in the centre as well. more of a permenant feature than a tempory need.

Yes they look nice, but last time I checked they were very expensive for a tow hook

 

Toe eye cover is in the middle of the respective bumper. There have been known fitment issues though, as there are 2 sizes of thread we know of, and some cars have the differing threads from front to rear!

16mm is for most of the UK cars... But I think some are 18 or 14mm... Just measure the one thats in the boot!

I often wonder why people drive around with red tow hooks stuck out the front of the car - personally i think its a bit like wearing dark glasses indoors.............
