How much petrol do I get?

Just come back from the petrol station, before I filled up the fuel gauge was just below the 1/4 tank line, filled up £ 40 of Octane 99 and the indicator went up between the half and 2/3 of a tank line, after 5 min drive I got home and the indicator went up a bit more towards the 2/3 of a tank line.

Is this normall? but more importantly, is that all I get with £ 40?

I tought that because I stiil had 1/3 of a tank £40 would have filled up the tank

i filled up from empty and that costs £75 it aint cheap and that will only do about 400 miles as well

If you had just less than 1/4 of a tank, that's not a 1/3rd left.

This is one of the main reasons i brought a cheap run around. Haven't to to cringe every time i got to the pump

i only really fill up once a month, my milage is quite low, so its not so bad. plus last year i got used to putting in a tank of diesel a week with my old car doing 500 miles a week. so this is reletivley cheap now compared to the £240 a month i was spending on fuel.

Normal fuel cost me £53.50 to fill up & that was from just under the last quarter.On 3/4s of a tank i did 290 odd miles.Dont know if thats good or not though

So..........what is the differenc in the tank sizes between the JDMs and the UK specs - Jay informed me today the JDM tank is smaller but none of us knew just how much smaller it is...................?

according to the manual, my 313 has an 80 litre tank. I know I put £71 in last week and it hadn't got so low as to set off the low fuel light.

My mates BMW E36 M3 EVO has covered 137K and is on an R plate but it is just as quick as my Z but so so much better on fuel than the Z why is this?

think you might be right, might have got my models mixed up. forgot that on the pumps it usually shows about 74 litres on the pump.

290 miles from a 80 litre tank That's 16mpg.

i average 25mpg, when on north weald airfield day i got 10 mpg.

it was only an airfield day, so the car probably only did about 15 runs in the day, each just over a minute, so say about 20 mins worth of hard driving

 

8.3 is impressive
