Hi from rosco600 to all at 350z

A big hi to you all - :flowers:

Just a quick intro.

Well I live just outside of Croydon, South London. Much like yourselves I love all things car related. Driving; talking about cars. I'm into modding within a budget mostly set by my other half ;) just as well really or there would be no food on the table and I'm sure I'm not alone here, standing back and admiring the gleaming paint work after a good few hours washing and waxing. I currently own a NHB Civic Type R, she's an 04 plate with a few mods. KPRO; Mugen Twin Loop; AEM CAI and a few body; engine and suspension tweaks and a surprising long list of other bits and pieces.

:teeth: No surprise, I'm looking to change to a 350z. Really love my Type R, but fancy a move from front wheel to rear wheel drive. I've been wrestling with the usual issues, GT or not GT; UK or JDM Import and of course what colour. Right now I'm thinking Chilli Red, my mind being swayed in part after seeing Chilli Red's in the flesh at the recent Blue Water meet. A relatively small meet, but I think all colours except Sunset Orange were represented. It was nice meeting a few of the guys and gals from this forum and gave me an opportunity to ask a few questions and look over some nice cars.

Anyway I said a quick intro. So bye for now. I look forward to meeting many more of you at the up coming meets.

Hi Rosco600 and welcome..

You'll get lots of good info from the guys and girls on this forum, car and non car related ! Chilli red is a great colour.. as for gt ~vs~ non gt.. i would say GT is less important if you are going to mod and replace wheels / audio / satnav .. Brembo's are good though.. :) saved me a few times !

I like the type r's, they are a sorted little package.. i drove a new one about a year ago and it got me smiling.. i also love the integra type r's (h5) .. they have a different rear suspension setup from the civic's and handle a bit better on the limit..

If you've never had a rear wheel drive and have got used to "spirited" driving in the type R then you are in for a laugh !!

Welcome

manc350z.

:p I should point out that Rosco, is my good friend and he got me into CTRs 3 and half years ago!

and actually, he egged me on to get the Z, AND now I have the Silver Dream Machine :p

Welcome Ross, enjoy your stay, even though you work 8 floors above me at work

Thank you all for a warm welcome and your words of encouragement :D

I will be keeping a close eye on the Z's for sale section. I see a few nice ones have sold on here recently. Hopefully I can grab one in the near future and keep it in the fold.

Hi once again to cavey and m350zb who I remember from Blue Water. Maybe I'll meet a few more of the local Z owners at Crystal Palace if Jerry can pull it together. He used to arrange many of our CTR meets, often with over a hundred Jap cars, so fingers crossed. I'll also try and make it to meets further afield in the near future.

Cheers rosco600
