Mate I have all the suspension stuff in stock and all as 'complete corners' from a very low mieage car as I told you before. Will PM you some info etc through.

If it was me I would take the £7,750 as long as they agree not to cat c or d the car!

Let me know dude.

Sorry to hear this mate.

As Andy said sounds to be more damage than body panels.Possibly bent the chassis.

There is no chassis Damage. All the damage is to suspension parts. ....

I had my drivers side suspension front and rear replaced after hitting a brick on the middle lane ofthe M4

Total bill £8700 less non suspension parts - say £4500 re suspension at nissan prices

Heres a quick update. Spent quite a long time on the phone with the engineer (was a really top guy who offered me loads of advice) and the bodyshop. I have the quote that the bodyshop sent the engineer. The quote has been based on a worse case scenario and so some parts wont be required but the unfortunate bit is i wont know what is and what is not needed. Ive managed to get the engineer to up what he valued my car on based on the sales of similiar ones in the past. We also went through the list of parts the bodyshop quoted and managed to rule out £3K worth of parts which he agreed were "excessive". Unfortunately it still didnt come close to a figure at which he would deem econimical for repair.

Based on the new figures im looking at the following 4 options:

A) take £14k now and say goodbye to the car. This isnt really a viable option for me as i would loose 20K straight off and wouldnt get a car anywhere near as desirable as the car.

B) Take the car back and get a cheque for £7280 but the car would always be classes as a Cat C write off. The only implication with this is it would dramatically reduce the value of the car and my insurance company would need a engineers report before they would insure the car again.

C) i could take the £7280 and then sell the car as is. I could probably get more than 14K total this way but would be in same situation as option a.

D) Enter into a contract with the isurance company for contract repair. Means the insurance would pay upto 9K for the repair on my car.

Option D seems to be my best options for now as from conversations with traders and friends in the know i should be able to get it sorted for 9K, and perhaps to a better standard than the original. However im not rushing into anything and need to fully understand what the terms of a contract repair are.

I would also like to mention that the traders on here have been really great, CS, Chilli and Lee have all been fantastic with their offers, as said before they are a real credit to these forums and striaght up nice geniune people.

the car cost 34k ?

if you take option D will it be recorded ? i.e. a cat c or d ? this will devalue the car greatly if so

The total cost of the cars purchase, all the mods ive done and the price to have the kit fitted and sprayed comes to around 36K.

Option D will mean the car is no longer classed as a write off and will mean if i can get fixed for the money im allowed to spend via the insurance company it wont owe me a penny more than what ive already payed out.

Dam mark thats too bad, i had a feeling it might be a write off due to the rear end suspension damage n that  Just hope you can get it sorted bud!!

Yeah ive had a gut feeling all along that would write it off. They cost of parts from Nissan just take the ****. Just peopl be careful with what they do with there cars as it dont take much to write one off, especially at todays value on the cars.

The contract repair...can you nominate the garage you want to make the repairs or is that done by the ins company?

Just had a thought, but dunno how legal/illegal it is.

Am I right in guessing that CS has full garage facilities at hand?

If so, couldn't you nominate him as your garage?

Couldn't CS then say that the parts are alot cheaper, then source them with the combined effort of CS himself, Chilli, R35LEE and ZMANALEX?

Is that allowed or not?

Having just done a little reading I now understand that the repair under option D means that you will have up to 9k to spend on the repairs after which you pay.

Assuming you can choose who does the work and who you buy parts from this would be a good option. Second hand parts should be allowed too and I think they dont carry vat, I could be wrong though.

Definately worth considering.

I think you are right Martin, this is the key thing in my mind, if you can use your own sourced parts, you should be laughing. I am glad to help out myself but not sure anything I specialise in will be of use to you!
