Right chaps I thought i'd start my write up now at the end of day 2 :doublesho

Firstly the car was booked in for a full paint correction, engine bay and interior details also, when I went to quote the car I was aware of swirling and a few light scratches but now 6 wks on :censored:

Here's how she was looking when it was dropped off yesterday morning.

Firstly the worst job I had to try and tackle the wheels, looks like the inners have NEVER been cleaned on the car and also looks like a few track days have been participated in also due to the state of them.

236164397_o.jpg

236164509_o.jpg

I firstly soaked them in strong AS Smart wheels and left for 5 mins before agitating with a selection of brushes, this hardly even touched them so out came the jack and the wheels were taken off 1 at a time, I used a strong acid free wheel cleaner sprayed on the wheels and left for a couple of mins to start working and then agitated, this was done once then I tried some tardis this removed abit but not a lot.

Back to the strong wheel cleaner again and repeated about 3 times on each wheel to get them respectable and 4 hrs later time to start washing the car.

Firstly a pre-soak with warm citrus de-greaser sprayed onto the lowers and left for a few mins before rinsing.

Next up a snow foam using SSF via the kranzle, this was left to dwell for 6mins then rinsed.

236165814_o.jpg

Repeated the snow foam process again and the car was filthy and all the rubber seals had mould/moss growing in them and needed cleaner using my swissvax style brushes.

Next up I cleaned all the door/boot shuts with apc and swissvax style brush and gave the engine a thorough de-grease using virasol and a selection of brushes.

Then back to the exterior, now time for a 2bm wash using dodo b2bm shampoo and a z sponge, this was then rinsed using the DI Vessel.

Now for the clay stage, today using Dodo Mild grey clay and LT and lube.

After front wing:

I used nearly half a block of the dodo clay on this car as it was so contaminated.

Now lets see what the real damage is now it clean.

I had time to have a quick play and get a good combo ready for tomorrow, started off with megs polishing pad via makita and some megs 83/80 combo, this was giving great correction but not leaving lsp ready so I tried finishing with menz ff on a black 3m glossing pad no joy here and tried a few different pad combos for finishing but seem to keep leaving marks so ended up using the pc and a red elitecarcare finishing pad and 3m ultrafina se this was finishing up lovely and bringing out the red fleck in the paint lovely.

That was the end of day 1.

Day 2

Started off bad with showers all morning so had a little sort out of the garage and then put half the car in and set up the lamps etc ready to start some more correction work.

Heres some more shots of the defects I am faced with:

Very impressive chap. I hope you are taking one of his kidneys as payment! Thats one hell of a job. I nearly killed myself just going over mine with a DA polisher and thats soft Nissan paint and light correction. This is truely a mamoth job!

Looking forward to some finished engine bay shots
