Nordic GT Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Hi all, this has been bugging me since I got my new windscreen in at the new year and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on it. On the windscreen top middle there is a black device stuck to the windscreen with a wire coming out of it, does anyone know what this is/does. Quote
P15UL T Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 i was under the impression it was the ariel for the phone kit or could be the sat nav reciever Quote
Hamster Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 My guess would be the sat nav antenna.. as the car kit is bluetooth so i'de imagine its the phone that's then antenna? Unless there is an option for a factory fitted cradle to the car kit. Quote
Lexx Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Im having a blank mind day today, but its either the Sat Nav, or the Mic for bluetooth. Im sure I asked this question a year ago, but for the life of me, I cant remember the answer! Quote
Chris`I Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I beleive its the phone arial for the car kit. I thought it was the mic, but was told differently last time Quote
GC350z Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I beleive its the phone arial for the car kit. I thought it was the mic, but was told differently last time Yea this one comes up on a regular basis. It's the phone aerial. The mic in by the sunglass holder and interior lights. Some Z's have had the aerial nicely hidden away under the roof panel. Well at least my first Z did. My second has it on the windscreen. Quote

Nordic GT Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 Sorry for the late reply guys, many thanks for solving the puzzle for me lol.I have got zed withdrawl....two weeks before we reunite lol. Quote
Rentech Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Is it possible to 'Bluetooth' the aerial output? Would not have thought network reception strength could be connected to the phone that way. My phone only connects up to 'headset device', so only transferring the speaker and mic signals over the blue tooth connection. Quote
