I have got a 'ticking' noise going on in the engine, confirmed at a garage that it is one of the Hydraulic Tappets stuck!! I would not be entrusting my car to a garage that told me this as they obviously do not know there Zeds. It is a very big job adjusting the valve clearances (tappets) on the Zed as to do it properly the cams have to be removed and to remove the cams requires the heads etc. to be removed so you are far better removing the engine to do this job. Not sure they are a Zed specialist, but they certainly know their stuff.
