dangerman Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Hello people, Looking to replace my pads all round. Have narrowed it down to 3 choices after reading the threads here: Endless SSS Performance Friction Z-Rated Hawk Performance HPS I've only seen the HP's recommend by Tere but he does seem to rate them very highly. From what I've read the Endless SSS are probably more suited for me but I was wondering how they would compare with the HP's. Also does anyone know the best way to get hold these? Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I don’t stock the above, best bet is Envy for the Endless pads… I only have EBC, Ferodo DS and Ferodo DS2500 in stock… Quote

Ekona Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 PF pads are utterly brilliant. I've had mine for about 7 months now and they've happily taken fast road + extended track use in their stride. Not cheap, but very good. The only downside is that they take a few applications to warm up, especially in this weather, but aside from that I can't fault them. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 O.P You don't say what you are planning to use the car for or your calliper/disc type or the power that you are putting out. The above info would then allow an informed reply. Quote
dangerman Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 Tere is a she, dude It's always better to find out a he's a she's than when a she's a he right? Quote
martinmac Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Yes Tere flys scary planes. As Alex says What will you be using the car for and what is it fitted with. Quote

It's just the stock disc and Brembo calliper setup. I mostly do road driving and plan on taking it to the track maybe once or twice a year. Sorry for lack of information bro... Quote

Maccaman Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I had Ferodo DS2500 fitted on Monday, which I bought from CS, and noticed a marked improvement. Quote
sunset350z Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Just had a quick look, and i have a set of Ferodo DS2500 (FCP1562H) rear's at £50. They retail at £79.09!! I bought the same pads, front and rear from BigPhil for £175 last year, when they were still trading. They do work very well. Quote
dangerman Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 I've heard that the DS2500's squeal. Is that due to lack of/bad bedding? Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I've heard that the DS2500's squeal. Is that due to lack of/bad bedding? To be fair, I’ve only heard of one instance where they were squealing, the key is to coat the back/edge in copper grease and this should eradicate any potential squeal from the pads… Quote
Maccaman Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 No squeal from mine, they just do a very good job. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 The majority of brake pads will squeal if Copa greaze is not applied correctly. For your application Ferodo DS 2500 will serve your needs admirably. Quote
sunset350z Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Put copper grease on mine and not a hint of squeal Quote
