Samsung Omnia mobbie - anyone got one?

Ok so I am sorry for asking these stupid mobbie questions but cant change from Orange to O2 for another 12 months and get an Iphone (Not sure I want one now - every buggers got one!!) Sooo spotted this little rascal and wondered if anyone had one??

 

Also any top tips on how I can upgrade to it without incurring major costs but staying with Orange?

There are some places that will buy out your current contract. A friend of mine has recentley had the last 6months of his contract paid up by the Carphone Warehouse. Sometimes they will add the remainder to the new contract but I've seen others where they dont so its a bit hit & miss

 

I was gonna get an Iphone but changed my mind & I ordered the new blackberry storm

I have the i8510 if you are after a more covential shapped phone with real buttons I couldnt recommend it more. Even has an optical mouse when on the net

Thanks mate but fancy a touchy doodar phone (technical term) to be really honest dont really like Samsung that much but the Omnia seems to be ok?? Anyway will pop in a few phone places over the weekend

A mate of mine had the Omnia, and loved it right up till the point he lost in in the mosspit at last weeks Rancid gig!

Suffice to say it didnt do well on the floor against 500 people going mental to Timebomb!

 

Ive got the Samsung F540 touch screen, and its a great little phone.

I've had my iPhone for 6 months now, it is very smooth and very easy to slip out of your hands if your hands are clean.

 

I dropped mines from about 1 1/2 feet and damaged 2 lines of pixels on my screen. Certainly cannot fault the software on the phone though.

Thanks folks - well either Iphone or Omnia - its more about my contract than anything else.... gotta be better than what I have now.....

On the iPhone, texting is amazingly good, with error correction and predictive messaging meaning you can type super fast without bothering to be anything like accurate.

 

Downsides though, it only has a 2mega pixel camera and you cannot send/recieve mms messages.

Well my Samsung G600 must have Korean English predictive text - which is hopeless!!! Thats why I hate the damn thing - on top of the 500 other things its pants at!
