AK350Z Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 A fantastic weekend at Billing has got me in the mood for meets again after a long winter. Going to book the accom this week at the same place we stayed last year. They are aware of our meet and will be doing good prices. The upside of staying in the lodges is that we can use the gardens for the social side and BBQs. Its Fort Augustus Chalet Park if you want to google it. There are two and three bedroom lodges and they do B&B in the main house. Find someone you get on with and get it booked Have they finished refurbing them yet? Stan may be making different arrangements this year!

That'll be my job! Well I will organise a run further north for myself and Colin. Anyone else can join in too. It'll be before the big drive I think. I'll be in Ullapool for a couple of days then. Cracking little place! I'll post up the date when I confirm when Ebized is journeying up from waaaaaaaaay down south.

We are staying for a week up there - heading further north for the rest of the week. Like last year its great to go for a week - you have enough time to relax in between and enjoy Blackpudding/haggis stacks with Drambiue cream on top .....mmmmmm ! We are booking the B&B tonight - hopefully they will still have rooms for us!

stanski Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 We have just booked at Fort Augustus but due to work commitments we can't make it the week before the weekend run , so will be spending the week after in sunny Scotland somewhere - as yet undecided? Looking forward to seeing you folks again on the Hoon and hopefully meet up and discuss on the Wales meet?

Right next to the canal, shops,pubs etc. There is plenty of parking and a large green in the middle for socialising. If you are on your own the B&B would be cheaper. Imagine the Wales run with great scenery and no traffic.

Stew Posted May 13, 2009 Author Posted May 13, 2009 Superb. I booked a B&B yesterday. I'll arrive on Thursday and stay in FA for four nights. Then might nip up to Ullapool. I might be in the area before hand visiting Jaynes Auntie and Uncle too..... Not sure yet.
