What is this device?

I'm still getting used to my 350Z so don't slate me too much. I found this device in the drivers footwell and I have no idea what it is - can anyone shed some light on it?

Haven´t seen that on my MY05 Roadster. In spain at minute so can´t check. I´m sure someone will know what it is and respond very soon.

Possibly something to do with an alarm or immobilisor but I have no idea!

Engine imobilizer - that would make sense but I didn't receive any docs about from the dealer ...hmm I'm a little afraid of what might happen is the battery goes flat now.

No he doesnt Never seen one of those before, like Stew said probably some sort of immobiliser key pad, probably been disconnected if it's starting Ok (hopefully disconnected if you havent got the code )

It's got power running to it as it blinks an LED every 10 seconds.

 

For the time being I'll just assume it's the Transformer button and use only when it's really necessary.
