  1. Just a week ago I was getting ready to trade my zed in for a vectra. Why? Well numerous bits needed doing on it and at the moment I'm a bit low on funds (as are most people) plus I didn't really feel I was getting the most out of it. I use it to travel the 5 miles to and from work and it barely gets taken out at the weekend. So after taking it down to vauxhall for trade in and them not really giving me enough to make it worth it I decided to keep it and fix the various bits. First on the list was the exhaust so after many of you suggested the k1 I went for that, kindly supplied and fitted by Cougar (thanks Mitz!) and that was it. I fell back in love with the zed!! Holy crap the noise is like god coughing! Love it! So even though money is tight I'm now more than happy to spend what's needed for the zed because it's worth every penny for what a joy it is to drive! Only problem now is I can't see this tank of 99 ron lasting long!!! Lol
  2. tbh I look like that when driving, I'm a right short arse!
  3. I dont even know which side mine are on. I just pull the stalks untill I find what I'm looking for That's pretty much what I did for the first 6 months of driving mine! Now whenever I get in another car I look like an idiot spraying water on the screen whilst turning right!
  4. I don't care what anyone else says, I think they look awesome too! That red one especially. It'll end up seesawing on most speedbumps around here but to hell with it lol Where's the full thread? Edit: nevermind, there now. Weird!
  5. Yeah its not bad. 03/53 plate it about £8100 apparently (looked in their book)
  6. Mines a 52 and I just got told it'd be £7500 max for trade in! Scandalous eh? Love those wheels btw!
  7. My boss has got one and there's always a bit of banter between us, although of course I let him win. I want to keep my job! lol Not sure if this s2000 was anything special, it looked pretty standard to me. As I say, probably just a bit of jelousy will get a pic if I see it again (although it'll probably be behind me )
  8. Saw an S2000 this morning on the way to work with a 350z sticker on the back being eaten by a pacman. Jealousy is a terrible thing... but funny though
  9. Not mine was it? Don't see too many GMs going round leics
  10. Ok no worries, haven't been on the forum in a while so forgive me
  11. Just got the car back from Nissan the other day after it got its window motor replaced and they say it needs a new backbox as its blowing quite a bit (mmm I didn't notice that nicely deeper louder sound coming from the back haha) but they want a shade over £500 to replace it. For the price I figure there must be some better options? I've see the K1 & K2 mentioned quite a bit on the forums but really don't know all that much about the technicalities. I don't want loads more noise but a bit of a performance boost might be nice but definitely with price in mind! Any ideas?
  12. Does anyone know how much they cost to get replaced? Lets just say I've had a little accident with one of my (drivers side) and it looks like its hanging on by a thread The plastic holding it on the joint has snapped. Tried gluing but no help. Anyone had them replaced before?
  13. Yeah have been thinking of something like that but if there's a port there in the UK version, then there's probably an electric outlet somewhere in that area on the jap model so i'll probably get my ice guy to put on in. Still think its stupid not having one there by default!
  14. Well not use it as a cigarette light but power port. Just can't believe mine doesn't have one near the front, where you'd assume its needed!
  15. In the jap models too? can't find anything there on mine
  16. Can't believe this hasn't been mentioned but the cigarette lighter! Why put it behind the driver?!? Its a pain in the ass driving with the road angel on the dash with a wire dangling at shoulder height straight across the middle of the car
  17. I've used them for the last 3 years in my old car (C2) and found them to be fantastic. I don't think its so much a case of not being able to afford harnesses, they give you more advantages than that. I mean, you try getting out of harnesses in a hurry or changing settings on the sat nav lol. The CG lock does work great as it holds in place really well although I've never felt the need to put it in the Z as my arse seems planted in the seat. Maybe its just cause its getting bigger
  18. The rain was terrible yesterday! Just got back from a trip up to Middlesborough and on the way there the car was aquaplaning like a bitch at some points! Not good
  19. Well bought the can the other night, did it in about 10 minutes and all smelling fresh in there again! Not 100% cleared but a hell of a lot better. Quick tip though, when you do open the car up after its been spraying remember to take a breath of fresh air BEFORE you stick your head in the car
  20. Ahh nice one, cheers! Will get a can of that stuff at lunch. Must have missed that thread
  21. Got up this morning quite early so to warm up on the way to work I put the heater on (with A/C turned off) and it started to really stink. I turned it back down to 18 deg and opened all the windows but there's still a smell coming from the vents. As I say, I didn't turn the A/C and that was working fine yesterday but I can't seem to get rid of the stink (smells a bit like burnt toast). Anyone had this?
  22. Yeah one thing you should check out as soon as you get the phone is to slide the phone up to reveal the number pad. Then see if there is any movement in the screen part by gently moving it back and forward. The early ones rock/wobble quite a bit (mine does) but I think it was sorted out along the way. It doesn't hurt the operation in anyway, just makes the phone feel a bit cheaply put together but after trying a mates one, his is alot more solid and feels better.
