IanS16 Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Does anybody know if there is a product i can use to achieve a deep looking paint. I know my gun metal grey isnt exactly the best colour for this effect but I think the paint looks, well.. crap. Ive been using the autoglym polish and it look a little better but still not great. martinopy Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I'd recommend having a look on detailing world and checking out the forums. I'm sure you'll find everything you need on there. Quote
GIXXERUK Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Try Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze, this made a dramatic change to my GM Quote

Cool Hand Luke Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 My GM's currently sporting AG Ultra Deep Shine, AG Extra Gloss Protection, and Meguiars NXT wax. Quote
funkymofo Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Poorboys super sealant and a coat of megs quick detailer over the top. Sorry for rubbish pic quality. Quote
Stew Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 GM really isn't the best colour for putting lots of effort into. Look at ebizeds black one! Quote

Look at ebizeds black one! agreed - not a rewarding colour to polish, you can only work on the depth of shine and try to acheive a wet gloss look, you cant enhance the colour only the gloss Quote
Cool Hand Luke Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 GM really isn't the best colour for putting lots of effort into. In my opinion its always worth putting the effort in Quote
Stew Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 You just don't get the same results as other colours with the same effort! Quote
Ebized Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 GM really isn't the best colour for putting lots of effort into. Look at ebizeds black one! Ok , if you must Quote

If you want deep looking wet paint then you will have to buy a decent wax.As metioned before visit detailingworld. Quote
H5 Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 This is with clay, AG Ultra Deep Shine, Chemical Guys Jetseal 109, P21S carnuba wax.... Quote
funkymofo Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 nice! I've been meaning to get some P21s for ages.....thats just reminded me. Quote
stanski Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Weird thing - I usually use Meguires deep gloss wax but forgot where I put it in the garage so just used Turtle Wax Extreme Polishing wax (that I had as a part of a set ages ago) damn thing went on dead easy and the finish was superb! why waste valuable driving time on the weekend and you can Wax and Go!! Chris`I Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Clay - AG Polish - AG Extra Gloss Protection - P21S Not the most rewarding, but it looks good anyway! Quote
